Baby Safety

I just want to share this to all the newly-mom about SAFE BEDDING  practices for infants:

1. Place baby on his/her back on a firm tight-fitting mattress in a crib that meets current safety standards.
2. Remove pillows, quilts, comforters,pillow-like stuffed toys , and other soft products from the crib.
3. Consider using a sleeper or other  sleep clothing  as an alternative to blankets, with no other covering.
4. If using a blanket, put baby with feet at the foot of the crib. Tuck a thin blanket around the crib mattress,
reaching only as far as the baby's chest.
5. Make sure your baby's head remains uncovered during sleep.
6. Do not place baby on a waterbed, sofa, soft mattress, pillow,or other soft surface to sleep..

TRAVELLING:
Traveling with a baby can sometimes mean that you are  so consumed with ensuring that you have everything you need to care for the baby on the trip that you forget things you need in yourself. The best thing to do is to prepare checklist of what you need and then check off each item as you pack it.

A sample checklist should include the following items:
Diapers
Blankets
Sleepers
Baby wipes
Baby soap and lotion
extra pacifiers
Bottle
Formula, Food, water and/or juice
Extra clothes-at least 1 or 2 outfits per day
Nightlight
Carseat
Portable crib
Collapsible stroller
Sun hat and sun screen toys
Plastic for use in changing the baby
Any necessary medicines
Extra shirt for yourself
Burping Pad
Washable bibs
Feeding spoons
Kettle , if the hotel room does not have kitchen facilities.
The packing for a trip involving a baby should start weeks in advance to ensure that no detail is overlooked . As you pack each item , check to make sure that you have added  extra in case of accidents.Simply go through a sample day at home and make a list of everything the baby needs when not travelling.  Add extra to the list. Bring a camera and if you use a digital ensure that the memory card can store lots of picture.

I have so much more to tell you..till then.

My Prince

My Prince is a very loving, thougtful, smart little boy.
I'm gonna share you this stuff..My little boy was so curious talking with the telephone. He wanted to call his Lola in Cebu. As he scanned the list on top of the unit he saw the word "MAMA" and the telephone number. The word "MAMA" refers to my Mother-in-Law and her number on it. Upon reading it he thought that it was his Lola's number in Cebu. Without hesitation he dialed and looked for his Lola saying: Hello, Can I talk to Lola Dals?" A low tone voice of a man responded and said:: "Oh , who is this? "...he said, I'm Prince..The man replied: "Who's Prince?".."Prince Quiroz, the son of Mama Irma Quiroz"..So the old man said: Ah, Prince Ji Lord..This is your Lolo Ruben in Ormoc City". My little boy laugh out oud of what he had done. Arriving home from work he shares to me the incident and he's laughing to the max while talking. I can see his innocence and honesty. I ask him why he wanted to talk with his Lola and he told me that he missed his Lola, He wanted an "Iron Man" robot from his Lola that is why he called his Lola.

Lots of Love

It's a cloudy day and I have to rush out for work to escape the "soon to pour" rain. The City fiesta is fast approaching and I hope it will not rain. There are plenty of activities in the city, also in school. I have to make sure that my children will not be late for the flag ceremony due to street's re-routing. Anyway, no more classes tomorrow and it's their time to relax at home playing games, watching their favorite CD's..How I wish if I have the money  and all the time, it'll be easier for me to bond with my children. I really love them. I want to eat well, relax well. I want them to be happy, and well. I wish for a healthy body for them. I need to nurture them even if I'm working. All I want is to be always a good mother for them, a provider, a friend to them. I can see their faces when I arrive home from work, very happy and it seems that they felt safe if I'm with them.

Caring for My Sick Child

I was in the middle of a negotiation when my eldest daughter called up by phone telling me that her younger brother has a fever. Well I thought that he's fine already by drinking his medicines this morning while preparing for school. Upon hearing the information I rushed to the Apartment and comforted him.It was such an abrupt illness and I've found out that he has this running nose and a cough . By the way he has a history of an Asthmatic attack last year that's why I'm always afraid if he's sick. Being a mother, its a very challenging rule and it is a forever adjustment and patience  especially in caring your sick child. You should be in love of your children no matter how they are , tehy're still angels made in heaven.,sweet, kind, innocent.I really love my childen and I don't want them to suffer sickness.Without loving them, it means nothing whatever you do in your life. And understand whenever you love your child or not, somehow deep in your child's heart, they will love you forever whenever they are loved, or not.
